THE PLAY OF THE WEEK

Stop Lying to Yourself

We have all heard the excuses.

The economy is terrible. The workforce is lazy. My industry is different. Some of those things might even be true.

But here is the harder truth. Most of the time the biggest thing standing between you and the next level is the story you are telling yourself.

I have sat across from incredibly successful family business owners who built something real and yet when we got honest they would say β€” I think I am the problem. I know what needs to change but I keep avoiding it.

That takes courage to say out loud. Because the voice in your head that says everything is fine when everything is not fine is not protecting you. It is costing you.

Stop lying to yourself. Identify the gap. And do something about it.

That is where real growth begins.

GET ON THE ICE

  • Write down the one thing you have been telling yourself is fine when deep down you know it is not
  • Ask yourself β€” if a trusted friend could see everything right now what would they tell me to fix first?
  • Have the honest conversation you have been putting off. Today.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
